Blizzard's User Interface Customization Tool

You may have seen the news on the frontpage of WoW.com about the User Interface Customization tool available for download. We need to start a wiki page on it, and I think the best is, of course, the name of the tool, User Interface Customization Tool. The main problem is I can't download the dang file for windows, I get a 425 error. Anyone else having this problem? --Gandork 11:18, 11 Dec 2004 (EST)

I haven't been able to get to it either. Been hoping for mirrors forever. Snorelax 23:22, 11 Dec 2004 (EST)

Downloading the User Interface Customization Tool

You can download the file by making a FTP connection to ftp.blizzard.com using an ftp client.

Open a command prompt by clicking on START->RUN and enter 'command' for Windows 95/98/ME or 'cmd' for Windows 2000/XP.

Once the command prompt is open type 'ftp ftp.blizzard.com'.

Login as username 'ftp' password 'ftp'.

Type 'cd pub/WoW/other'.

Type 'binary'

Type 'get CustomInterfaceKit.zip'

After I performed the installation it extracted all the files into \Interface directory of my WoW installation. These files appear to be the default interface files provided by Blizzard which you could just as easily get by extracting the interface from Data\patch.mpq using the WinMPQ utility.
