Talk:Amphibious

I think we should move this to "Amphibious" due to "Amphibians" having vertebrates, laying eggs in water, and not being able to breath in water when they are adults. Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 02:49, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

"For some reason, this list contains both literal amphibians and creatures that can move both on land and in water in-game." That is what amphibious means. If we had just amphibians, the list would be really short indeed. Also, like I said in one of my edits, the term amphibious is used a lot while amphibian is not used much. The "For some reason..." was rude of me. Frowney.gif Though, the mechanic and the critters seem unequal to me.--SWM2448 04:11, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
That is okay. I was trying to sort it out myself earlier because the original title of the article was "Amphibian" but then the article had a definition that related to Amphibious creatures. It then said "Examples of amphibious creatures". So if everything was about Amphibious terms, I thought the article should just be changed to Amphibious also. I then looked in the RPG and they used Amphibious a lot also. If we used the term Amphibian, we wouldn't be able to include some entries like Murloc, Makrura, etc. because it looks like Amphibians are only things like frogs, toads, etc. Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 04:44, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
So which stance should the page have? Anyone?--SWM2448 03:51, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Well i would say merge it with aquatic...--Ashbear160 (talk) 00:54, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
What is the point of the "Aquatic creatures" article? Both this page and that page (mostly this page, as the other one is just a list that maybe should be just a category) reference both a game mechanic and a lore trait.--SWM2448 01:08, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
Surely the fact that amphibious creatures are viable on both land and in/under water should be reason to keep it seperate from aquatic creatures which are limited to water/liquid, if there are incorrct items the lists should be cleaned up not merged as this would create more incorrect definitions on the list Deludo (T If silence is golden why arent monks richCSpecial:Editcount/Deludo Peasents employed to do the work for me so far) 13:32, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Does anyone have any thoughts on the topic? The mob movement style, the real-life property, or some kind of lore list?--SWM2448 01:15, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
