Smothervine Seeds are provided as an objective for  [35 Daily] Aggressive Growth at Malfurion's Breach on the Molten Front during the Firelands Invasion.

There are piles of fertile soil scattered around the Ashen Fields in the Molten Front. Plant these seeds in the piles, and a smothervine will grow almost instantly. A nearby elemental (or revenant) will be grabbed and strangled.
