Regarded by many as a foremost alchemist of his time, Nal Fizzletongue lived on the bleeding edge of each and every technological innovation, leveraging his sizable connections and deep pockets to gather a vast menagerie of potent procurements and miraculous tonics.
When a neighboring town was struck with a worrisom plague, he was quick to come to their aid with a closely-guarded recipe for their ailments -- for a price that stretched their coffers thin.
When the same plague came to his own town, he tripled the price.
Even as his friends grew ill and his neighbors pleaded for help, he kept his secrets guarded. And when he died to one of their dagger, his secrets, and the town's hope, died with him.
Greed was his downfall -- humility will be his salvation.
