Magic Attunement is a Mage talent that increases the effect of your 
[Amplify Magic] and 
[Dampen Magic] spells by up to 50% at max rank and increases the range of all Arcane spells by up to 6 yards.
With 2 points in this talent, Amplify Magic (Rank 6) will increase damage taken by 180 and healing taken by 360. Dampen Magic (Rank 6) will reduce damage taken by 180 and healing taken by 360. The range increase is subjectively useful, but broad as it covers all Arcane spells. It is often taken as a filler talent to get later talents in the Arcane tree. For Arcane specialized mages that use Amplify Magic and Dampen Magic often enough, this talent would make a good filler.
The talent is also important in certain PvP builds for its use in extending Polymorph's range from 30 yards to 36 at full rank.
