Illustrious Gemdust is obtained by crushing Cataclysm gems with Cataclysm Crushing. A set of uncommon gems give around 1-2 Dust, rare gems gives around 2-3 Dust, and epic gems give around 3-6 Dust.
Ten dust can be traded for one 
[Illustrious Jewelcrafter's Token] at Farrah Facet in Stormwind City and Taryssa Lazuria in Orgrimmar.
