The huatang was a weapon developed by the mogu during the height of their empire as a solution to the mantid swarm's unreachable flying units. It was designed by the arcanist Taskmaster Xuexing on behalf of Warlord Gurthan. Though the Zandalari's mastery of the arcane was largely inferior to that of the mogu, it was their techniques that inspired Xuexing. The huatang consists of multiple white tubes assembled in a certain pattern, making the weapon look like a white honeycomb. The tubes are filled with stones and pebbles, and arcane magic is focused at its back. The ammunitions are projected at lightning speed, causing a deafening sound that resonates like thunder from afar, and makes the air crackle with lightning. The projectiles were able to hurt dozens upon dozens of mantid at once, ripping them apart or causing them to fall to their death.[1]
