A hoax is a false rumor known by the author to be false and debunked or disproven. Blizzard usually puts forth various hoaxes before or during April Fool's day.
Examples of World of Warcraft hoaxes:
- Pandaren Xpress
- Two-headed ogre
- BurgerCraft
- Wisp (April Fool's)
- Gold dupe hoax
