Amongst many scribbled entries of the trials of a pirate's life and surprising amount of different uses for barnacles, you find an entry of note:
"'Tis been a week since that cursed bird made off with the keys to my chest. He keeps flyin' by, as if he be tauntin' me, but I can't seem to catch him on the wing.
That good for nothin' squab can't fly forever. I'll just wait here till he goes around."
