Alright. I thought of an idea for an article but wanted to know how the WoWPedia community felt about it before I did. I wanted to create some articles about how to do some things in roleplaying, not for sure what to call them. For example: How to roleplay a thief.

We have a page like that for each of the playable races. We had more than that at some point, like vampires, but I can not find them currently, with the exception of How to roleplay a powerful character well. That may be representative of the consensus on Wowpedia, but you can try to start such pages up again if you really want to.--SWM2448 18:59, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Be bold. Go ahead and start the articles, just be prepared for other people to change them and encourage all parties to defend their edits on the talk page if there is controversy. Theundeadsteak, please feel free to add links to the new roleplaying pages below so we can follow their progress and perhaps add or edit.

Also, here's a few tips after looking at your start:

• Don't put capitals in the middle of a new page name unless it really needs to be there (I renamed "How to Roleplay a thief" to "How to roleplay a thief") as per Project:Naming policy.
• It's always good practice to put a stub like {{Stub/Other}} at the top of your new article.
• You should probably explain that your guide is from a particular perspective (it appears to be geared toward the pen-and-paper RPG rather than WoW in-game roleplaying).
• When you link to pages on Wowpedia, you don't have to make them like [http://wowpedia.org/pagename linklabel], you can use local wiki links like [[pagename | linklabel]].
• And don't forget to add [[Category:Roleplaying]] at the end.

Everyone was a newbie once. At least here you don't have to worry about a "wiki score". I'll check in on your articles from time to time, try looking at edits other people make, that's how I learned alot.

What links didn't work for you? Did you know about create page for making new pages? The more we know about specific problems new users have, we can try to fix them. -- Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 1:25 PM PST 5 Dec 2010

The one to remove the arrow by the word that's linking to another article. I did the exact command and it showed the link and outside brackets.Theundeadsteak (talk) 18:38, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
