Forum:Worgen icons
Seems some users have a preference between 
Worgen and Worgen, and while both are welcomed to be used, I think we should pick one or the other for the official articles.
I personally don't like the ones Blizzard made, since they have a blue background and don't match the standard we have going here... of course my opinion can be a little biased since I'm the one who made the other set of worgen icons... so please feel free to express your opinion here on which you'd rather have used and why you prefer them. Thank you,

Honestly, I'm more inclined to using Worgen (playable) when dealing with the Gilneas (faction) Worgen. It makes more sense to be honest to link to the proper type of Worgen we're dealing with here rather than the Worgen race in general, Which until Cataclysm was predominately hostile only. I use the Worgen when dealing with such pages as the Nightbane pack. We have both there and I use them where it seems fitting, rather than having them just sit there.--Whitedragon254 (talk) 22:39, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- I think that Coobra is right, we should definitely pick one or the other for the official articles. Either one works for me, just just as long as we pick one. I never understood the difference between Worgen and Worgen. As far as I can tell they are the same race, with varying degree of control. Whitedragon, your right Gilnean Worgen do belong to the Gilneas (faction), a faction of both Humans and Worgen. At the end of the day Gilnean Worgen are still Worgen, does it matter what faction they belong to? Would it make sense to differentiate between Stormwind Human and Gilnean Human, or am I just being short sighted? Seric-2 (talk) 10:59, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

- Well, We do it for
Dragonmaw clan. I had proposed a separate template all together, would be {{Race|Gilnean}} which would put a gilnean human male and female icon with the offical worgen ones, Then the worgen template would be used for such NPC groups like Nightbane pack. Rather than doing Worgen (Playable) and Worgen. Because using only one actually is -not- a good idea, considering if we use only the one that is used for worgen in general, it'll point people to the hostile worgen in general rather than the alliance affiliated ones (On such pages like Surwich that'd be bad since it'd link to the wrong faction.) It also would be wrong for the Worgen (playable) to be the only one in use as it'd link such worgen like the Nightbane to Gilneas, which is incorrect as well.--Whitedragon254 (talk) 18:02, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
