This is an idea I've been having for a long while now, but wouldn't it be totally awesome if WoWwiki had its own annual awards contest or something. My idea is to do something similar to an Emmy's or Oscar's format with various categories with five nominees.

This could multiple topics such as:

General Lore categories:

1) Most Beloved Character (such as Thrall or Varian)
2) Most Hated Character (such as Garrosh or Bolvar)
3) Most Memorable Battle/Duel (such as Arthas vs. Illidan or The Battle of Mount Hyjal)

World of Warcraft categories:

1) Favorite Zone (such as Azshara or Tanaris)
2) Favorite Quest (such as the Quel'delar quest chain or Wrathgate chain)
3) Favorite Dungeon/Raid (such as Naxxramas or Sunwell Plateau)

or even WoWwiki categories:

1) Biggest Contributor (such as Kirkburn or Gourra)
2) Best Name Template (such as Coobra or A'noob)
3) Contributor of the Year (such as well...anyone really)

These are all just some of my ideas but before I delve anymore into the project I'm interested to hear feedback from the Community.--AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 00:50, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

The article contests could be a series of polls, but I do not think that a user popularity contest would be in the spirit of lack-of-dissension. Also, I predict that a minimal amount of people would vote. Let us see what other users think.--SWM2448 01:04, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
