This is a topic of pure, unadulterated speculation, but I just thought I'd point something out. The Aquir was the root race for both the Nerubians and Silithid, that much is a fact. But has anyone else noticed that the Quiraji Prophets and Nerubian Viziers were probably the same creature at one time? Look at a Silithid Colossus and a Nerubian Spiderlord and tell me they don't have striking similarities. That's not my main point, though. Now look at the Mantids. They have Colossi that bear a striking resemblance to the Silithid and they even have Viziers that resemble the Nerubians.
Are the Mantids a lost Aquir race? Should there be a base article for the different breeds that the Aquir races have in common? Where are the Old Gods in all this? How many sandwiches did the Prophet Skerram eat in the thousands of years of isolation?

He doesn't need to diet, he's beautiful just the way he is! He shouldn't let the tallstriders and male blood elves tell him differently! Why, he's practically an exoskeleton!

- Interesting theory. It's pretty much stated that the major insectoids prior to this - the nerubians and the qiraji - all descend from the the aqiri, and the empires of Azjol-Nerub and Ahn'Qiraj are the result of Azj'Aqir's collapse...Pandaria is pretty much stated to be a "forgotten land", and the BlizzCon concept maps of the Mogu'shan Vaults (or was it the Palace of the Heavens, aka Mogu'shan Palace?) implied there was a Titan vault in it, so it's possible other non-Titanic connections (i.e. the aqiri) could be made...good call. --
