I'm well aware that classes and races shouldn't be capitalized. But what about talent trees? Should Assassination, Retribution, Discipline, and whatnot be capitalized or lowercase? I edit pages quite often to correct the capitalization of classes and races, but I find myself wondering what to do when I happen across a capitalized talent tree. -- IconSmall BloodElf Male2.gifUi-charactercreate-classes rogue.png Sebreth (talk) 03:28, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

I see no reason why they should. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 04:17, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Not entirely just to be contrary: perhaps because they are formal names of the talent tree category? Which makes them double as "class skills" in the skill list. You are, for instance, not referring to assassination (the act), you're referring to Assassination (the talent tree), a specific thing. I'm undecided on "Feral Combat", but I'd lean towards both words capitalized, currently. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:39, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
The trees are capitalized in both the tree window and the skills window in-game, and on the armory. I believe they should be capitalized Atomicrat2552 (talk) 01:53, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
There's a difference there, bro. They're not being used in a sentence. If you follow that logic, night elf rogue should always be Night Elf Rogue. Races and classes are used in quest dialogue as uncapitalized, and talent trees are not. The game does not strictly tell us whether or not to capitalize them, so it's up to us to decide. -- IconSmall BloodElf Male2.gifUi-charactercreate-classes rogue.png Sebreth (talk) 13:21, December 5, 2009 (UTC)
This is a sentence with the words "Assassination rogue" and "assassination rogue" as well as the words "Assassination tree" and "assassination tree" to see how they look in context.
While we're given no guidance, I'm with Eirik on this. --Sky (t · c · w) 00:51, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
