Recently I ran across Elemental essence, which is referred to by such pages as Elemental ingredient. Elemental ingredient has a See Also list that mentioned Primals and Eternals but didn't list Volatiles. "Elemental essence", meanwhile, didn't have a See Also list of its own at all.

While dinking around with these, it occurred to me that each of these pages listed (or should list) "all of that group of pages except themselves". Which naturally suggests a template. ... and needing a second template to handle the lines.

I've created a prototype for such a (second) template here, with a sandbox to test it here. (Caution: sandbox pages, subject to change at whim!)

Is there already a template of this nature? If not, would a template of this nature, and this scheme of using templates for See Also section management be of use to you? Near as I can tell, navbox doesn't do any hiding of "links to *this* page". Can you show me where? Otherwise, the SeeAlso list is a lot like the collection of links for a navbox. But without the navbox... :) --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:27, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
