In the commented-out instructions of Help:Item articles/Preload: "If there is no summary text before this section do not use a heading." (appears after after data:itemtip template and before == Source ==). The most recent example is  [Flamelicked Cloak of Kaufebyrd]. It has no summary so I didn't include the Source heading... which was shortly "fixed" for me. (I'm not singling out the user who made the edit, that's not the point of this discussion.) This isn't the first time this has occurred and I'm finally bringing it up here.

Do I ignore it like so many other users seem to do - in which case, the instruction should just be removed from the boilerplate - or does there need to be better education about following the style instruction? -- Aliok (talk) 01:29, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

I usually add the "Source" headder when the un-headdered summary purely pertains to the acquisition of the item. But yeah even if I myself like having the source headder on all items, I can see that from a boilerplater perspective, it's not actually the proper thing to do, if no other summary is present. I don't care much for summaries for summaries sake, but I can just add small summaries like "Item is an uncommon Plate Belt." if that would be prefferable. PeterWind (talk) 03:45, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
