It seems like a good idea to me if the Questbox template had an option allowing someone to mark that the quest (either getting, performing, or turning it in) required the character to have the ability to fly. Perhaps the stereotyped winged boot on/near the title bar? I would not consider "someone can summon you" as a valid alternative, even if the quest requires a group (as in the Tempest Keep instance quests). --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:58, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Some examples: anything in Category:Mechanar quests, any quest involving Ogri'la, any quest involving The Skybreaker or NPCs thereon. Most Sha'tari Skyguard quests. --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:32, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

As an optional parameter it wouldn't hurt. It should go in the notes regardless, if you need to fly to complete the quest. So use this image: ? You could just add that in the type=. Does type get used for anything? --Beware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 1:12 PM PST 14 May 2009

type= is used to show it's a Group, Dungeon or Daily quest, like how a quest is different than to a "normal" quest. I'd say use as it's small and can fit on a line - however I still don't see why anything more than the line "You will need a flying mount to complete this quest" is needed. --g0urra[T҂C] 20:33, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

But type= isn't used to create categories, right? That's what I was worried about. Having an indicator, perhaps with a tooltip, in the questbox might tell people there is something to know about the quest, in case they don't look at the Notes which are usually down near the bottom of the page. @Gourra: I consider "requires flying" as important an attribute as "is a daily/repeatable quest" or "is a (faction)" quest. /agree Fandyllic that it's worth a line in the main body of the quest page. Inclusion in the tooltip was something I had not thought of, but I agree. Since it blocks the ability to complete the quest outside of normal quest parameters, I think it would be appropriate in the introduction at the top of the page, rather than being relegated to the Notes section. If they don't even read the quest article completely before doing the quest, or if they have any problems with it, don't you think that they would look through the whole article first? Or do you really think that they will just hover over the quest in {{Quest}} or {{Questlong}}, before even bothering to read the article first? And who am I, if not someone who thinks almost but not entirely unlike you? ;) As to your question, I think that the average user is quite capable of looking in one specific spot for a piece of information, and missing it entirely if it is some place else.
