This is absolutely driving me bonkers. It has since we were "that other site", too. "The" is NOT part of the ships' names, and it does NOT need to be italicized with the name of the ship. With a couple of exceptions (either the occasional typo, or if they're a subzone or something), they do not tend to be capitalized, either.
