Hey guys. I've been working on the RTS units lately and something is bothering me : often you'll see a paragraph with a reference to a page of a game manual (for example: Footman#First War, but since the game manuals are on the wiki now, wouldn't it just be easier to link directly to the manual instead? So linking to Warcraft: Orcs & Humans manual#Footman instead of "author= Entertainment, Blizzard |authorlink= Blizzard Entertainment |title = Warcraft: Orcs & Humans Manual |pages= Human - 21 |chapter= Unit Descriptions" Xporc (talk) 23:05, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Trust me, no one will ever do the latter ever again, as it is too much work. The former is definitely easier, but the latter is the type of thing that we should strive for (in dreams). There is also no reason that it can not be both.--SWM2448 02:45, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
What I dislike with the second option is that it is rarely consistent. From unit pages to unit pages the text will be different, with more or less information. The exact page number is also sometimes wrong. Xporc (talk) 09:40, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
I know... I also know that there is an abridged version of the Warcraft III manual floating around, definitely causing some confusion there.--SWM2448 03:11, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
