Forum:Humans in Warcraft
Is it just me or do humans recieve most of the attention when it comes to events in the Warcraft universe? For example most of the major players in Wrath of the Lich King are humans in one way or another including Tirion Fordring, Darion Mograine, Rhonin, Varian Wrynn, and even the Lich King himself. Plus, most players enjoy being humans ingame. Yes I realize that everyone that plays or works on World of Warcraft are humans, but I feel our race recieves too much attention in not only Warcraft but other fantasy genres as well.AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 18:58, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
- I understand that but they(we) feel really played out in in Warcraft.AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 21:27, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
- Imagine this: First time on wow, you create a character. What race do you choose? I chose Night Elf though so I guess I'm not the one to talk. BobNamataki (talk) 22:15, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, well Coobra, you're kind of different. Pretty much every player I raid or rp with has a Human alt. BobNamataki (talk) 17:02, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
- LOL? His different how? My first character was a Blood Elf, then a Tauren, Human was third, I don't think you can just catagorise everyone who plays WoW based on a few experiences... Back to the original question, yes, there needs to be more non human lore, such as the orcs, all they have at the moment is Garrosh vs Thrall and that is lame... Orcs have lots of lore but have you seen the significant Humans list? It's the biggest in the game. Little Timmy is on there /shudder. By the way, you've tried Human at least. Not even trying Human would be weird. Coobra either didn't know much when he started playing or knew a lot. Warlock and Hunter are hard classes. BobNamataki (talk) 12:34, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
- I loved having pets, made soloing content bearable cause they were good for conversation. (Sssss/Slithered) 18:45, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
- *sigh* Hunter and Warlock hard? Letting the pet do all the work and just throwing out some dps on the side, not to mention the CC they have? I agree with Coobra, if you want to be able to solo alot you should go with Hunter and Lock, makes it very easy. Regardless, there is more human lore because its easier to write about a species which your apart of :P Max Krist (talk contribs) 23:19, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
- Well, not for Tolkien. BobNamataki (talk) 12:21, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
- lol, this is getting tiresome... This is "Wowwiki", who cares about Tolkien here? Max Krist (talk contribs) 03:40, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
- Well, Tolkien was all about the Elves wasn't he? BobNamataki (talk) 16:20, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Several reasons why a person might choose human. 1) if like realism and all that, it's easier to see yourself as a human, rather than an orc or a troll. 2) humans are not generally seen a hideous as say, an orc or a troll, they're less alien than other race. 3) humans were the heroes of warcraft I and II I heard. Although the orcs could be viewed as heroic, not many seem to think so. BobNamataki (talk) 23:31, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
