Did a search did find an answer.

I just put my Hunter in mail at level 40. All the mail has attribute bonuses but the armor attribute score is white, not green. Why? Thanks. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bazzel (talk · contr).

Where are you seeing this attribute score? Is this in game (in which case the question should probably be addressed in the World of Warcraft forum) or on the WoWWiki page for that piece of armor? --Wige (T - C) 17:20, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
