Why does it say Wowpedia:IRC was protected by "An unknown anonymous user"? Also your cloaks still say WoWWiki. --Lawful Chaotic (talk) 17:30, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

That was probably from before when wowwiki allowed anonymous posters. Cloaks still say WoWWiki because Freenode hasn't been able to set up a Wowpedia cloak for us yet. They say they're working on it but it may take a few months as they're busy with something which'll automatically create cloaks for people, so they don't need to manually do it for everyone. It was probably something to do with old anonymous users being able to edit. They can't on wowpedia. Either way, it doesn't really matter. Ressy (talk) 18:34, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

It means that the log of which admin protected the page is gone. Anonymous users have not been around since the founding days of WoWWiki, if even then, and they never would have been able to protect a page.--SWM2448 21:03, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

According to the history, Adys protected it on March 24, 2008. Don't know why Adys's name wasn't preserved in the protection history, but was preserved in the edit history (unless they are two separate histories and require separate imports.) Colanai (talk) 08:31, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Probably because Adys got demoted from an admin. Maybe if the user isn't an admin it shows something strange for an admin-only ability. -- Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 11:03 AM PST 1 Dec 2010
