- "This was the cover of the first RPG book we put out. It was right at the time we had shipped Warcraft III, so the Burning Legion, which features there in the background of the image, was the common franchise villain. The idea of an orc and a night elf and a human at an adventure party—like, 'Wow. Let's cross faction lines.' The night elves we had created up until then were ten thousand years old, and this girl looks like she's just starting her adventure. The mix of that chemistry and the colors—it was a fascinating image of Warcraft for me, and I just fell straight into it. It just opened up the world in a way that I had not looked at before." —Chris Metzen
