The Dwarven Fishing Pole was a quest reward from 
[20] Murloc Poachers which started with Dockmaster Baren at Lakeshire in Redridge Mountains.
Notes
Contrary to its name, it cannot be used for Fishing.
In the RPG
Dwarves are driven creatures. Dwarves do not like to be seen as fools, especially by goblins. As Steeltoes sat in the rocking boat with Seecrek, dead fish raining down upon them, he swore to best the goblin at his own game.
The dwarven fishing pole is a rifle with a long stock and a short barrel. Its range is short, but any dwarf who would fish with a gun would have no trouble facing down an orc at close range with the same weapon. This rifle also is ideal in situations where the target is charging.[1]

Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Removed.
