Regarding Server Locations (Pacific, Mountain, Eastern, etc.):
How is this info obtained? In other words, how can a user find out where a Realm Server is physically located? For example, I would like to know where the newer server "Shadow Council" is located...
Similarly, is there a way to check your ping to a server without actually making an account on the server first? Thanks. [ Laisren; 2005-June-18]

In responce to Laisren, I think almost every server in north america is still physically located in California at Blizzard HQ... but regardless of that, they have diffrent clock times to indicate the time zone suggested. On that topic... since I don't seem to be able to add it myself, could someone Please add Server:Stonemaul to this list.

Addendum... missed that note up top redirecting to the "realms" page.. so disregard my previous information. Prehaps this page needs to be deleted to prevent confusion when searching for server lists... a redirect as it were.

Server Names Broken In Category:Server Tag

The tag in a majority of the servers in this category are broken, making them all list under S instead of under the letter associated with their server name. I'd recommend going through a couple every now and then and adding , where Servername is the name of the server, to the bottom of each article in order to make the organization here less ugly. Crafter Lists and Other Organization

This is somewhat off-topic for Category:Server but related generally to all server articles. I noticed an article called Silvermoon Horde Crafters that listed all the characters who had high level recipies on that server. The article is in , as is the server itself.

I think there might be a larger discussion going on about this issue somewhere, but I was wondering if there is a standard for this type of work. For instance, should the crafter list go on the server page itself? If not, how should it be connected to the server article? Should Silvermoon server-related articles have attached? The latter bothers me because at some point we'll have an actual city called Silvermoon with quests, quest-givers, trainers, etc., and this category might infringe upon that one.

Also, if there is a larger discussion of server-related organization, please point me to it. =c) User:Montag/sig 15:11, 25 October 2006 (EDT)

Embedding Geography in Server Category
