Enchantment?

I don't like calling these things engineering enchantments, just like I wouldn't want Fur Linings (Fur Lining - Spell Power) to be called leatherworking enchantments. We gotta think up a better name. --Gengar orange 22x22.pngBeware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 6:10 PM PST 2 Apr 2009

How about Engineering attachments?Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 05:19, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Harveydrone mentioned Tinkering on one of these related talk pages. Engineering attachments might work for this, but what of the case for blacksmithing socketing? Enchanting had the field to itself, until these (BS, Eng) and inscription muddled the distinction between "augment items" and "Enchantments". Perhaps, for this class, "Tinkered attachments"? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 19:06, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Re "Tinker", for those who don't know: This is what the button says in the Engineering window/pane, instead of "Create". Pressing "Tinker" gives the glowy pointer a la enchantment, to choose the item to "tinker". I don't remember whether there is a heading within the profession pane for these types of things ... if there is, that's a good candidate for a name. -- Harveydrone 21:31, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be convenient if the socket abilities of blacksmiths had a similar separate button-name? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 21:50, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
"Engineering tinkerings"? It might just catch on. We'll probably haev to lobby for it. Unfortunately, "tinker" as a noun is already well used. --Gengar orange 22x22.pngBeware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 5:54 PM PST 7 Apr 2009
