This piece appears on page 98 of The Art of Blizzard Entertainment with the following commentary:
- Nick: Bernie Kang had done a rendering of the draenei when we were working on the cinematic, and this is right when he was coming online, showing what kind of skills he had.
- Chris M.: The draenei were a tough visual problem because we had these essentially demonic creatures, but we wanted to intone that they were lawful, good, super altruistic, and it was going to be a rough sell. Bernie definitely hit that with covering them with the classic paladin-type armor. He took this demonic form and made him feel like a pretty genuine good guy.
