Merge with Trade Prince Maldy

It seems he is a infact a renamed Maldy. Anyone up for a merge. Copperblast (talk) 20:57, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Lets wait till beta. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 21:22, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Bias

With his unpopularity both in and out of universe, the fan-made Trade Princess Movement, and some other factors, the section labeled "Controversial future" is spiraling out of control, and is currently longer then the rest of the article. What should be done about it? My first though is to remove it. As some of it is rooted in fact, parts can be merged into the main sections, but what?--SWM2448 00:32, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

It is true that it is out of character for the goblins to spare Gallywix after all he did. Its seen pretty clear in several quests that goblins don't take treachery lightly [1] and that Gallywix was going to be replaced before the eruption.
So he does genuinely not make sense as a racial leader and something at least should be mentioned of it. Copperblast (talk) 01:55, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
I think player opinions, and speculation on what might happen, are better suited to talk pages and forum posts. The main article should focus on the facts. Egrem (talk) 01:25, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Removed the section about his "controversial future". Rampant speculation does not belong in articles - if a point is going to be made, then at least provide some references as to why NPCs/characters think he's inappropriate as a leader. What people think about him is not enough. --g0urra[T҂C] 22:19, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Again in several quests in the lost Isles, the goblins express disgust and hatred for Gallywix. (H IconSmall Goblin Male.gifIconSmall Goblin Female.gif [1-20] She Loves Me, She Loves Me NOT!, H IconSmall Goblin Male.gifIconSmall Goblin Female.gif [1-20] Goblin Escape Pods). It should stay as all points are legitimate and Gallywix is not supported even ingame. At most it can be moved to its own page. Copperblast (talk) 23:11, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
The problem is that the section starts off with "some players feel..." and then lists a litany of things that players feel he did wrong. If it stays, it needs to be cut down dramatically and be focused less on "here's why players think we'll get a new goblin leader" and more on "here's why the goblins don't like him." Also, with citations. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 23:15, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
In any case, please keep speaking here and stop spam-revert thank you.

Those are irrelevant as they occur before Gallywix became the racial leader. --g0urra[T҂C] 23:16, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
You mean before Gallywix becomes Racial leader again. Keep in mind, Gallywix was not well liked on Kezan either. As Goblin npcs have legitimately expressed a hatred for Gallywix, it stands to reason that Wowpedia should have a speculation page on Gallywix's future and possible replacement. Copperblast (talk) 23:30, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Gallywix wasn't the racial leader before Thrall appointed him to be. Bring up some evidence after Thrall appointed him that goblins are still disgruntled with him. --g0urra[T҂C] 23:33, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
I disagree. There's a pretty big leap of logic from "the goblins don't like him" to "Gallywix's future is uncertain and here are some possible replacements." I think it's probably relevant to discuss the fact that the goblins don't see him in a particularly glowing light, but rampant speculation about how he's going to be replaced doesn't belong in the article. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 23:34, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Actually Gallywix was already the Trade Prince of the Bilgewater Cartel on Kezan. He had little support there and was going to be replaced by the player before the eruption of Mount Kajaro. And we haven't heard anything about Gallywix since the players arrival Azshara. Though Rosenberg of the TCG also says Gallywix is "despised" by the goblins. [2], which is reflected in Gallywix's abilities not working well with goblin cards. As all these points are valid, I support moving this section to a new speculation page. Copperblast (talk) 23:44, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Again, bring citations after he was appointed leader by Thrall. --g0urra[T҂C] 23:51, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
As I said, we haven't heard anything about Gallywix since getting off the Lost Isles. But I gave a citation on Mike Rosenberg of the TCG saying the goblins despise him still and this is reflected with goblin cards working poorly with his abilities. Copperblast (talk) 23:53, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Placeholder Model

I can recall seeing a shot in one of the beta videos on youtube or in an old screenshot on here that shows Gallywix's model to be the same as the one he has now but it is listed as a place holder. Anyone able to confirm this? User:RightHandedTwin 13:01 24 May 2011 (UTC)

I think I can recall it too, but eh, I'm fairly confident the next time we see Gallywix he'll have a more unique model. Grissom (talk) 13:17, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
I would believe so as well... one that would match his artwork and his monument in Azshara. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 20:04, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

The wowhead link is broken, any chance to fix it? (edit) thanks --Petrovic (talk) 11:29, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Steam warrior

It seems very acceptable to list him as a Steam warrior Inv helmet 44.pngIconSmall Vincent.gif The Royal GentlemanMind your manners (talk contribs) 03:57, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

No, that is a non-canon class, and speculation anyway.--SWM2448 04:23, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Rogue class

I think it's because the linked NPC has [Expose Armor], a rogue ability. Xporc (talk) 08:18, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

Although, just like Anduin... from the Bfa cinematic, people were believing that he was a warrior or paladin. Blizzard had to step in and say that he is in fact priest but being a "special" kind of character, they can go beyond than what normal characters can do in a class. This kind of stuff would need to be confirmed in some way, other than just from an ability. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 08:26, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
