Nexus Crystals were disenchanted from high level epic and rare items at the following probabilities:

• Item level 56-60 epic equipment: 1x
• Item level 76-80 epic weapons: 1x (33%), 2x (67%)
• All other Item level 61-80 epic equipment: 1x (50%), 2x (50%)
• Item level 66-99 rare equipment: 1x (0.5%)

Patch changes

• Patch 7.3.5 (2018-01-16): Removed.
  
• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Stacks to 200, up from 20.
  
• Patch 2.2.0 (2007-09-25): Several enchants have been updated to use level 70 reagents and not use the Nexus Crystal anymore.
  
• Patch 1.9.0 (2006-01-03): Epic items that are level 51 and above will now disenchant into a Nexus Crystal. Also items that normally disenchant into Large Brilliant Shards have a very small chance of disenchanting into a Nexus Crystal. New more powerful enchanting recipes that require these Crystals can be found in the new Ahn'Qiraj content.
