The Widening Deep was carved out by waters flowing from the Ambermarsh leading to the Westersea to the southwest. The chasm comprises the western half of the border between Townlong Steppes and the Dread Wastes. The corpses of many a Kor'thik fleetwing litter the area, blasted out of the sky by Shado-Pan defenders at the Farwatch Overlook.
