Warcraft II: Remastered is a remaster of Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition. It was first announced at the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct.
It is part of the Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest.

Trivia
- Warcraft: Chronicles of the Second War is a fan-made mod for Warcraft III: Reforged that aims to recreate the experience of playing the original Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. Its studio has announced that Warcraft II: Remastered hasn't changed their plans to keep working on their mod.[2]
- Grom Hellscream's name is changed to Grommash in all text within the game, though the voiceover is unaltered. A similar change had already happened in Warcraft III: Reforged.
- The Beyond the Dark Portal campaigns do not include cinematics between acts from Warcraft II: The Dark Saga.
