On disagreements

heya, i noticed you’ve been having a bit of trouble with disagreements with other editors. i’d like to note that editors are allowed to disagree with each other’s edits without being admins. an admin isn’t automatically an authority on lore; we’re more like keepers of the wiki. we do have authority on things like making arbitration decisions, but we’re still bound by the rules of fairness and consensus-seeking.

when someone disagrees with your edits and reverts or changes them, and then you repeatedly revert it again back to your own, that’s known as an edit war. it tends to be an unproductive editing method that frustrates everyone involved. instead of repeatedly reinstating your edits, try laying out your reasoning on the article’s talk page, then wait for the other editor(s) to respond. this can help you come to an agreement or compromise that’s based on multiple editors’ input.

if you have any questions, feel free to respond here or on my talk page! thank you, Eithris (talk) 16:14, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Deceased

i’m going to ask that you stop changing characters to deceased. if you disagree with the way wowpedia treats souls, start a topic about it on the forum. you cannot just repeatedly say your piece in edit summaries; you need to have a two-way discussion with other editors about whether this is a change that’s wanted or needed.

thank you, Eithris (talk) 15:57, 5 August 2021 (UTC)

Blasphemy

Going back to what you said in your last edit on the Arthas page, the page "Blasphemy" was created because it is a religious concept that can be found in many cults and societies in Azeroth and elsewhere. It is an important word because it determines what is considered offensive according to the civilization concerned, it can also be linked with the page of "Heretics" which already existed before I worked on it.

Unless you have real arguments for its deletion (the page being quite complete and well sourced), and which I invite you to share with me here, I doubt that you need to request a deletion, it would be a waste of time for everyone.

I wish you a good day, awaiting your answer and your arguments. WardsJames (talk) 13:03, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

Reforged images

There is no rule about preferring War3 Classic images over Reforged images, no matter what the public reception for the game is. There is also no rule about not putting images in quotes sections. Please stop removing these things. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 01:51, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

Yes there's no rule, but it is to avoid the confusion of the audience.Oxlord (talk) 04:40, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

Blocked

Icon-error-22x22.png You have been blocked from editing for violating Wowpedia policy, by Surafbrov, for 1 week. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page, or by visiting the Discord server.

You've already done this back in September. Now you've come back to the same situation as last time but instead of discussing the topic, you've went and made your edits on what you believe is right. On top of this, you've made other attempts to go around an admin that helped to settle this, making up a rule that Reforged images shouldn't be used over Classic, and have made unnecessary rude comments instead of keeping it civil.

And I believe it's unjustified. I have already discussed the topic with the user WardJames in September. Please look at the talk page. The chronological order part is already settled. And I do not make this kind of rule. And WardJames did not explain the reason of putting images at the quote section. And Eithris is did said about keeping the old dreadlords image. And yet you accused me of this so-called vandalism. Oxlord (talk) 04:39, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

it seemed like the situation was settled back in september. i had changed the page to what i thought was fair and made sense. these recent edits appear to be ignoring that in favor of the edits you were originally trying to make before i stepped in. wardsjames is not the one who decided to put most of the images back where they were originally; i was.
if there's still some disagreement, it should have been discussed on the talk page, not just revived by doing the same edits again. trying to push for large changes without discussing them is not productive. we have no rule against putting images in quotes sections. we do have rules against edit warring, aka making the same changes repeatedly without discussion.

It's not about the rule, I want to know the reason of putting images in quote section instead of the gallery section. And the number one priority of fandom users is to insert information based on facts, not to be fair to fictional characters. And images are optional. Oxlord (talk) 06:29, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
There's no reason. Simply there is a lot of empty space in those sections which can perfectly include an image. And having one or more there doesn't hurt. Unlike other wikis, in this one we tend to include many images in various places on the page, instead of just putting them all in the Gallery (should be done in moderation of course). Every wiki in Fandom has its own priorities on layout, so it's common different wikis will have different styles. And of course, the vision of one shouldn't overcome that of the many. In this case, most if not all users have never had any problem with the images afaik. If you think otherwise, there's always the option to create a vote to see if the community wants to change it or not. Though I'm not an expert on this and I can't help. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image.png (talk) 15:39, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

And I am correcting images of Malfurion by inserting the correct one which was used in Reforged campaigns, why do you revert it? You never watched the night elf campaigns of the Reforged version? Why can't you check it before you revert it? I already said my reason in the edit summary. Oxlord (talk) 05:33, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

Although unused in Malfurion's page, that image was being used on another one. Even though, I've moved the old one to the Gallery and replace it by the unused one since it looks better imo. But as others have said, people is smart enough to not confuse having a mix of Reforged and the original WCIII images, especially if they are properly labeled as such. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image.png (talk) 15:39, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
