The Knights of Saint Joseph (Latin: Ordo Iosephis) is a force (righteous) that appears in Doom and Revive. It is also the youngest of many Catholic knight orders, and the only one founded by a Chinese national and a Catholic, Giuseppe Attilisi.
In the early days, in order to end the atrocities of the Demon's Wheel, the spread of the Cataclysm, and the intensification of refugee problems in countries around the world, Giuseppe Attilisi and several other adventurers (Ichiya Samura, Greg Cardin, Francesco Agostini, Han Hye-Hyun, etc.) and Catholics formed what later historians called the "Knights of Saint Joseph". The purpose of the organization is to rescue refugees, eradicate cultists and injustice.
Although subsequent historians compare the Josephites to many historical knightly orders (Saint John, (Templar, and the Teutonics), the organization's influence worldwide has grown from an unknown group to the largest knightly order, with millions of members.
In addition to recruiting Catholics to call for a holy war against the Demon's Wheel, the expansion of the Order also includes various propaganda. Since the existence of the Josephites is legal in China, just like the Catholic Patriotic Association (because both sides have a common enemy and the Josephites is also involved in various public welfare charities and peacekeeping operations around the world (including China).
The Knights also actively participated in the war against the cultists. They have successively participated in the war against the Demon's Wheel, and have also participated in the exploration of Atlantis and Lemuria and the prevention of the outbreak of the Cataclysm. If various criminal incidents, humanitarian crises, etc. break out in certain countries (including China), they will participate at the first time.
After the Cataclysm, the Josephites moved their headquarters from Negrolio, Occidenmarzia, to the Vatican. After that, they joined forces with governments to combat, ban and suppress all cults and remnants, including the Demon's Wheel.
During the invasion of the Demon Legion, the Josephites suffered a blow during the expedition against the Demon Legion. In order to save the Earth, the Knights, together with the Knights of St. John, the Teutonic Knights, and the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association, imitated the ancient Spain and Venice to fight against the Ottoman Empire and formed the "Neo-Holy League" to fight against the invasion of the Demon Legion, and received support from major knights. They used the Vatican as their headquarters, fought side by side with other organizations, and united to form the "Anti-Legion Front" (Legionfall).
After the demise of the Demon Legion, the New Holy League disintegrated, and the Josephites participated in several wars and won countless victories.
