Turbo Boost
Turbo Boost is a limited-time event that starts in the x.x.5 patch and lasts for the rest of the season. It reintroduces dinars in the
[Puzzling Cartel Chip], of which nine are available per character. Trade three with vendors in Dornogal near the Great Vault for a selection of raid items and seasonal dungeon trinkets.
Chips come from weekly quests, tasking players with defeating four raid bosses on Normal difficulty or higher, or four Mythic dungeons.
Hero track items have no requirements other than the currency cost. Myth track raid items require defeating the item's associated boss encounter on Mythic difficulty. Myth track dungeon items require timing each dungeon with a +12 key or higher. These requirements are per-character and not Warband-wide.
Additionally, Hero and Myth-track items can be upgraded 8 times (up from 6), the cap on Crests has been lifted, and
[Valorstones] will be warbound for the rest of the season. Mythic+ drop rates for Warbound until Equipped gear will also be doubled.
In delves, the event also boosts Brann Bonzebeard's experience,
[Delver's Journey] progress, and improves rewards from the
[Delver's Bounty] (which contains 20 Gilded crests, 300 Valorstones, and a
[Big Wheel of Cheese]). Additionally, players will earn more Crests,
[Valorstones], and
[Delver's Journey] progress from the end-of-delve chests.
Crafters can improve Sparks-crafted items with a
[Runed Augmentation Matrix] or a
[Gilded Augmentation Matrix], adding three or six item levels, respectively. Enchanting supply vendors like Llande in Dornogal or Syenite at the Crafting Orders building will sell them.
Finally, PvP item levels will be increased during the event by 6 item levels.
Season 3 purchases
Starting the week of 21 October 2025, as part of The War Within Season 3 and two weeks after patch 11.2.5 launched, characters can earn one cartel chip each week by defeating four Manaforge Omega raid bosses or clearing four Mythic dungeons, with the exception that the first week's quest will award three. Players can acquire nine chips in total per character. Assuming players keep up with the weekly quests, they will be able to purchase items the weeks of:
- 21 October 2025
- 11 November 2025
- 2 December 2025
Hero-track items are sold by Fixer So'kir, and Myth track items are sold by Fixer So'tho. All items cost 3x
[Puzzling Cartel Chip].
Chips come from the weekly quests
[80] Turbo-Boost: Trade Must Flow or
[80] Turbo-Boost: Infinite Growth.
Additionally, clear Tier 9 or higher delves after reaching rank 3 of the
[Delver's Journey] and Bountiful delves will start dropping
[Untainted Mana-Crystals], which can be traded to Zah'ran for Hero-track delve trinkets.
Blizzard updates
Initial response
After an outpouring of complaints about the slow pace of acquisition when Turbo Boost was announced on 24 April, Blizzard made a forum post explaining their rationale later that day:
Puzzling Cartel Chip Update | 2025-04-25 01:30 |

In light of that, we're changing the structure of the quests for Puzzling Cartel Chips, so that the first week's quest will now reward 3 Chips, enough to purchase one item immediately. The 6-quest progression will continue as planned after that, allowing each character to earn up to 9 Chips (up from 6) and purchase up to three Liberation of Undermine items.
We also want to take a moment to offer some context on the goals of the Cartel Chip currency, and how they compare to past experiments such as the Dinar system in Shadowlands Season 4, a natural point of comparison for many players.
In Shadowlands and Dragonflight Season 4, there was a very compressed season timetable that rotated through multiple raids, making it extremely unlikely for any player to get a particular raid drop. We introduced the Dinar system as a primary means of acquiring specific chase items that would otherwise be unobtainable for most players. Those seasons also weren't about progression, but rather "farm from the start," letting players re-experience familiar content from earlier in the expansion with updated rewards. And of course, they came at the very end of their respective expansion, with a full power reset just on the horizon, and little need to worry about the long-term implications of giving players access to gear with a power level several tiers above their normal rewards.
The middle of The War Within Season 2, however, presents a very different situation. Puzzling Cartel Chips were designed primarily as bad luck protection, allowing players who've been chasing specific raid items without success to have a guaranteed path to earning them. They also provide a path for players who have only done the Normal version of the raid to get a few guaranteed Hero items, without undermining a core motivation for the challenge and coordination required in Mythic raid progression. We also need to be mindful of how we will transition into the next season. Giving players who don't normally engage in high-end content access to Item Level 680+ trinkets would essentially obsolete those slots for Season 3.
We understand that players who don't raid, or who have no interest in Mythic raiding, are disappointed that they can't get Myth versions of these desirable items. The Puzzling Cartel Chips system will still allow someone who only does Normal mode of Liberation of Undermine to earn, for example, a House of Cards trinket at Item Level 672 once it is fully upgraded. We hope that will be an exciting prospect for many players.
This event is an experiment on our part, aimed at giving a wide range of players a boost towards achieving their progression, collection, or power goals as we move into the second half of the season. Your feedback is deeply appreciated, and we'll be listening and watching closely to inform any future plans.

On 1 May, Blizzard announced that Mythic+ trinkets would also be part of the puzzling cartel chip system:
M+ Dungeon Trinkets Added to Turbo Boost Event | 2025-05-01 16:32 |

The weekly quest that provides Puzzling Cartel Chips will now offer players a choice between killing 4 raid bosses in Liberation of Undermine or completing 4 Mythic+ dungeons. Additionally, the vendor will now offer a selection of trinkets from Season 2 dungeons, in addition to the previously-planned raid items.
Purchasing Hero track dungeon trinkets or Hero track raid gear will have no requirements other than the currency cost. This means that regardless of how you obtained your Puzzling Cartel Chips, you can exchange them for Hero track raid items or Hero track dungeon trinkets. The Myth track dungeon trinkets will require both the currency and having beaten the timer in all Season 2 M+ dungeons at Mythic 12 or higher (having unlocked the Resilient Keystone system). And of course, the Myth track raid gear will require both the currency and a victory over the item's associated boss in Mythic difficulty Liberation of Undermine.
Our goal here is to ensure that players who enjoy M+ dungeons have a way to use this new event to obtain items they may have been chasing for weeks.
As always, thank you very much for your feedback!Patch changes
