The Toy Thief concludes the 7 November step of Guest Relations, and chapter two of  [I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats].

On accept, Maru hands over a fresh copy of  [My Journal: Operation Toy Rescue]. It initially reads:

Maru needs help figuring out who the culprit is. I should talk to her and tell her who I think it is.

Like yesterday, this quest is different for either faction.

Boralus

Speak with her:

Yennu's toy was a ball tat you found buried in a dirt pile. Da other toy you found was at a tree and you had to follow a trail of fur to find it.

Who do you fink stole da toys?

 I think the culprit is the crazy cat lady.

Hmmm... I don't fink the cwazy cat lady would take toys from her own kitties. Who else do you fink it might be?

 I think the culprit is a dog.

A doggie? Oohh, tat does fit with all the evidence you found!
Isn't there lots of big animals in Boralus? And Kenshi lives in Boralus too! I think the puppy perp could be there.

 I think the culprit is Alyx!

Uhh... I don't fink Alyx would have time to do somefing like that. I mean, have you seen them do anyfing except work?

 I think YOU stole the toys.

Whaaat? Me?
Why would I steal my own toy? I fink you need a new finking cap.

The dog option advances the quest and adds text to the journal:

We've decided that the culprit is a dog. Yennu thinks the dog might be in Boralus where Kenshi lives.

Maru also has a new hint:

There's lots of doggies on Boralus! Look around there and see if you can find some clues about the culprit.

You could also ask if the crazy cat lady knows anyfing.

Head back to Boralus via the portal in Stormwind City and check in with Catherine Morgan at ^{[54.2, 72.9]} in Catty Cathy's in Upton Borough:

Poor Kenshi! Being chased by that beast must have been terrifying!

I don't know what kind of animal it was, but it didn't look like something that I usually see around here.

Maybe the creature left some clues by the tree that my poor little Kenshi was chased up?

Urban Planner Volrath at Proudmoore Keep, Boralus

Return to the fenced tree at ^{[42.4, 74.9]} in the plaza outside Proudmoore Keep and bring out the  [Idol of Ohn'ahra], which points to Urban Planner Volrath standing at ^{[43.4, 73.1]} nearby looking at an empty plot of land. Speak with him:

Yes?

 I'm looking for a dog.

Yeah, I saw a big dog. He ran through and even made off with some of my plans!

He didn't look anything like the dogs that live here, so I made a quick sketch. Take it if you want.

 <Take the sketch.>

He hands over a  [Bakar Sketch]. This adds more to the journal:

A guy in Boralus gave me a sketch of a Bakar. Where would I find a lot of Bakar?

And to Maru's hint line:

Ooh a drawing of a bakar! You saw those big doggies in the centaur place where you found Yennu's toy, right?

Dazar'alor

Get back to the Hall of Beasts in Dazar'alor and speak with Matan at ^{[56.2, 31.8]}:

Ah, dis poor little squirrel was chased about by a big creature. I never seen a beast like dat before.

Perhaps you'll find something in de area dat you found the toy?

Whip out the  [Idol of Ohn'ahra] to find a  [Bakar Sketch] by the tree where the  [Plush Toy] turned up at ^{[57.0, 22.2]} on the ground.

The journal gets an update:

I found a sketch of a Bakar in Dazar'alor. Where would I find a lot of Bakar?

And Maru offers a new hint:

Ooh a drawing of a bakar! You saw those big doggies in the centaur place where you found Yennu's toy, right?

Maruukai

Get back to Maruukai in the Ohn'ahran Plains either via the portals to Valdrakken from Stormwind City or Orgrimmar, or by using [Path of the Windswept Plains] from  [Keystone Hero: The Nokhud Offensive].

As with yesterday's quest, check with the innkeeper for a clue. Either Hearthkeeper Berulan at ^{[62.8, 40.7]}, Hearthkeeper Erden at ^{[62.2, 35.7]}, or Hearthkeeper Bayon at ^{[59.6, 38.8]}:

 I'm looking for a mischievous Bakar pup.

Getseng trains many young Bakar. Perhaps he has the information you're looking for.

You can find him by a guard post at one of Maruukai's entrances.

Getseng is at ^{[58.5, 39.7]} by the western entrance to Maruukai:

Hello, how can I help you?

 Have you seen a bakar stealing toys in the area?

We have many bakar friends who aid in our hunts.

We allow them to roam as they please, but one bakar pup has recently been getting into trouble.

Perhaps you will find him at his common hiding place. Look for the children of Ohn'ahra under her watchful gaze.

This adds text to the journal:

Getseng told me to look for the children of Ohn'ahra under her watchful gaze to find the Bakar's hiding place.

And to Maru:

It sounds like you might be looking for a biiiig statue of Ohn'ahra.

Maybe da idol can help!

 [Chew Toy]

The big statue of Ohn'ahra is atop Ohn'ahra's Roost. At ^{[57.8, 31.7]} is a  [Chew Toy] in the form of a wooden sword next to some Teerakai Burial Bones. Pick it up which adds more to the journal:

I found the toy next to some Teerakai Burial Bones. Now where do I go to find the Bakar?

And to Maru:

Maybe you can use da toy you found to lure out the doggie! Did you find any clues near da toy?

Toy Box

Neither Getseng nor Hearthkeeper Berulan have anything new to say, so head southwest to Teerakai. Whip out the Idol of Ohn'ahra and it will point to a Toy Box at ^{[39.6, 58.3]} atop the burial mound with a patched-up leather ball and a  [Clockwork Rocket Bot] inside it and some more Teerakai Burial Bones nearby. Interact with it to return the Chew Toy.

More text in the journal:

Ok, I found somewhere to place the toy. Maybe I need to hide somewhere nearby so the Bakar will come out.

And more from Maru:

See if you can hide somewhere near the doggie's toys and wait for the doggie to come out!

 [Miniature Tuskarr Boat], Maru's Toy

The suspiciously large Bush a few yards from the toy box lights up, so interact with it to hide for a few seconds. A Bakar Pup will run up, take the chew toy out of the box, and run off; follow it to the cave under Teerakai at ^{[38.8, 56.0]} to find a huge Toy Pile and Maru's Toy, containing a  [Miniature Tuskarr Boat].

This adds the final text to the journal:

I found where the Bakar has been hiding all of the toys and I found Maru's toy! I should bring it back to her.

Return to Maru at the Caverns of Time in Tanaris to turn in. She also has extra gossip:

 I found the thief and your toy.

Yay, you found ALL the toys!
