The Box of Many Things is offered by the broker Ve'nish, found somewhere inside Torghast. Finding Ve'nish and completing this quest is the prerequisite to unlock the The Box of Many Things mechanic, which is a form of meta-progression in Torghast added in patch 9.1.
Ve'nish can be found on floor two of any layer, so if players are specifically looking for this quest, knock out a layer one run.

Description
Ah, Maw Walker, of course. Soon I shall be undone, claimed by this place forever, but you continue to walk its halls unbroken by its inevitability.
It was my great aspiration that the box would prevail. Sadly I overestimated my own capabilities.
I trust I am not overestimating yours. Take the box. It will grant you power as you prove your power. I have labored long in its making, prove yourself worthy of it.

Notes
Before leaving, Ve'nish has some gossip:
- In my glory, I made the box so that it might grant me the power to travel these halls with impunity.
- In my hubris, I made it so the wonders within could only be accessed by one who proves their worth within the walls of this place.
- It never occurred to me that I might not be worthy...
