Talk:Vindicator Saruan
Matis speaks about Sironas's plans for him, and that they will see him soon, any draenei can tell me what it is about?--Gurluas 18:42, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- As someone who's played draenei of every class...I'm really not sure.
It says on the page that he's dead; however, the blood elves' statements suggest otherwise. If he is alive, the implication is that he's now a man'ari (if not something even worse).

Abomination
Every time I read this page and get to the line "Saruan may have become the abomination that Sironas has created." I keep thinking ... what creature has Sironas created? To my knowledge.. nothing. (Sssss/Slithered) 21:59, April 25, 2010 (UTC)
- When you interrogate the captured Sunhawk agent, one of the things you hear is "The abomination is actually one of their own. He is a high ranking member of the draenei military order: Triumvirate or some such nonsense." The implication seems to be that Sironas transformed Saruan into a wrathguard or something.
And no, I don't have any proof that it was specifically a wrathguard; that's just a wild guess.

Saruan's Resolve
The flavor text for [Saruan's Resolve] would imply that Saruan died before Sironas or the blood elves had a chance to corrupt him, no? I don't see why Blizzard would choose to name the legendary that and give it that flavor text if not to finally provide some closure for one of TBC's most glaring abandoned plot threads (especially due to the emphasis on "Contrary to the lies of Matis the Cruel ..."), but it doesn't seem to be worded in a super clear way, at least not to me. I'm mainly thinking that the flavor text could also be interpeted as meaning "Despite Matis' claim that Saruan wept while he was beaten, the vindicator never once cried, but he was still turned into a demonic abomination and hence departed from the Light". I'm working on rewriting the page with the Saruan's Resolve flavor text in mind, so I wanted to see what others think before using the legendary as evidence for one conclusion or the other. -- DeludedTroll (talk • contribs) 16:13, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
