Talk:Kralnor (alternative)

Welcome

This is the talk page for my article on Kralnor. I opted to call it Kralnor (alternative) as this is in no way intended to replace the existing Kralnor article, rather offer a more ... shall we say warlockian point of view on the subject!

I welcome discussion, comments, criticisms, etc on the article, so please leave them here! Thanks --Percephene 01:13, 14 January 2007 (EST)

Links

Thanks to the people/bots who've done a few tidy ups on the links in this article, it was originally written for a different wiki, so may not follow wowwiki standards, or might point to wowwiki as an external source, but in time we'll get those tidied up!

Feel free to discuss the article here with me :D --Percephene 15:21, 27 January 2007 (EST)

Guess what... I've got a TCG Card of Kralnor^^ --Frosti 16:24, 27 April 2007

Lucky!! I'd so dearly love one of those! Maybe one day off ebay :) --Percephene 03:16, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Advertising Link

Regarding the advertising on this page: Are you the owner of http://www.cafepress.com/angel23 ? If so, I view that as a conflict of interest - using WoWwiki.com (for free) as a way to advertise (albeit in a decently written way) for your own website's line of apparel. Regardless, I still view it as mere advertising - as there are no competitive websites listed (or if this one is even popular at all). I do not agree with the inclusion of such a link and find it well intentioned but inappropriate, but will not fight an edit war for you to remove it permanently. No I'm not the owner of the site, and it was linked because it appears in the original Kralnor thread, and was well received by the rest of the participants in this historical thread. Its not advertising, as I tried to explain in the post on your talk page. Nor do I want to get into an edit war either, which is why I sought you out on your talk page ;) As the original author I still feel it belongs in the article, as an example of the initial enthusiasm and widespread impact of Kralnor's teachings :) --Percephene 03:15, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Possible Addition

I found this stashed away on my computer. It's a well written piece, and I believe it should be incorperated into the article somehow.

Bah. I have reached the point in my meditations on Kralnor now where i need not use a staff, for I *am* my staff. Truly, the route to enlightenment is becoming one with your staff and seeing that the true power comes not from any ordinary stave you may wield, but the "good one" inside yourself - a staff of unbreakable power, providing the backbone for a warlock to suffer the slings and arrows of a wildly flailing nerfbat...

After all, is it not so that we cannot wield staves initially, but must seek training in the major cities in order to do so? Kralnor saw this and realised that the true staff was the warlock himself - how else are lvl 1 warlocks supposed to have fun? Thus he acheived enlightenment. And hence the commandment to "Look it over" - overlook the material, the simplistic Staff or dagger you choose to wield, and see instead the inner staff, the spiritual staff which you must seek to become - unbending, unbreakable, and all powerful. Did kralnor himself not say "my staff is a good one"? Truly the words of a noble and enlightened master.

Have fun,

Look it over,

Don't report anyone.

Peace out :)

Wow! I really like that, I'd love to see it included in the article! Thanks for the contribution! If you can see a good space for it to slot into, feel free to add it, otherwise when I get a chance to have a look over things I'll see if I can find somewhere for it :) Percephene 00:57, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
I added it in with The Lesser Prophets. If you wish to change anything, feel free to do so. --Lanthadyme 07:38, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Addition - Image of The Staff

Found an image of what could Kralnors staff, added it as an external link.
