It appears so! Judging by Wowhead comments, it appears they were deprecated during patch 7.1.5. Anyone here remembers doing these? -- Mordecay (talk) 07:21, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

i mentioned this in the discord last night and yeah, berenal said he remembers doing it.

the date on that wowhead comment is about 9 days before 7.2 dropped, so either it was close to the end of 7.1.5 or maybe they were talking about the 7.2 PTR? definitely couldn't have been deprecated with the release of 7.1.5, since the boxofbeer video and wowhead comments on some of the other classes' hidden history quests are all from january & february.

(that is a coincidence i can't figure out. at first i thought this quest must have come at AK level 25, which would explain the video/all the comments being from several months after launch and, potentially, why there's so little info out there. but then this page suggests Hidden History came before Hitting the Books, and berenal pointed out that in the boxofbeer video, the option to place work orders only appears after he completes the quest. so it has to have been at the beginning as part of unlocking AK in the first place, right?) --Eithris (talk) 15:34, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

Currently checking wowhead archived pages. Hidden History used to be included in Wowhead guide - [1]. Opened an archived version of the hunter ID from August 2016. Both mention Hidden History first, followed by Hitting the Books, at least. Then I found warrior ID [2] from January 6, 2017 and is already marked as deprecated, 4 days before patch 7.1.5 was released on January 10, 2017.
