The Silver Pig Coin was available through the original Recruit A Friend program.
It was also available through an Amazon Prime Gaming promotion from 25 July to 24 August 2023.[1]
Notes
This pet was originally only available on Chinese servers from December 27, 2007 through January 6, 2008 for the New Year's Celebration. During this period, a limited number of Silver Pigs were available through special activities in-game.

Druids think silver pigs have a special bond with golden pigs, as both breeds appeared on Azeroth at the same time.

Hotfix (2019-06-11): Removed with the retirement of the Mists of Pandaria RAF system. - Patch 8.1.5 (2019-03-12): Item quality changed from rare to uncommon to match battle pet.
