Ping System

Pings can designate terrain or identify an NPC.

The Ping System allows players to communicate quickly and effectively without relying on voice or text chat. By using the ping wheel, players can highlight locations, objects, or NPCs and convey their intentions to teammates. The system includes five types of pings: Standard, Attack, Warning, On My Way, and Help/Assist, each represented by distinct icons and colors. These pings appear on the screen, mini-map, and optionally in chat, providing clear visual cues for group coordination.

The ping wheel is accessed by pressing the default G key, though this can be customized in the options or set the keybinds for the specific pings directly, avoiding the use of the wheel. Players can also use macros for specific pings, offering flexibility in gameplay. While the system is designed for accessibility and efficiency, it has limitations, such as restrictions on excessive pinging and certain raid scenarios.
