Mounts

  •  [Riding Abroad] has been removed. However, the old world is still capped at 85% of the maximum skyriding speed.
  • On the  [Grove Warden], the player character now remains upright rather than rocking forward and backward with the saddle's movement.

User interface

The Mount tooltips in 10.2.7, 11.0.0, and 11.0.2.
  • The gold star icon Portraitstarbadge.png was changed to a silver star Portraitstarsilverbadge.png on portraits for rare mobs and rare elites.
  • Dropdown menus and right-click context menus throughout the UI (such as in Achievements, Collections, and Adventure Guide) have been visually updated. The text is slightly larger and bit more spaced out for easier reading, and the background is less transparent.
  • The confirmation dialogue for equipping a bind on equip item now also warns if the item is the wrong armor type for a character's class: "This is not your preferred armor type."
  • Appearances
    • The Appearances window has been updated.
    • The search filter can now additionally be sorted by "All Factions" and "All Races".
    • A class filter has been added for both the "Items" and "Sets" tabs.
  • Dragonriding has been renamed to "Skyriding" as a category on Mount tooltips.
  • Mount Journal
    • The Dragonriding filter has been removed. This will be reintroduced as the "Ride Along" filter in patch 11.0.2.
    • A "Steady Flight Only" text can now be found under mounts that are not capable of Skyriding.
  • Achievements
    • Hovering over the shield on an achievement now says "Earned by your Warband." and below it, "Completed by: <Name>" or "<Name> can still complete this.". Previously, it stated "Earned by: <Name>" and if the current character hasn't completed it, also states "Not completed by: <Name>".
    • Achievement Points at the top is now "Warband Achievement Points".
  • The account-wide quests icon in the Quest Log was updated from the QuestType1.png Battle.net icon to the new Uiwarbandicon.png Warbands campfire icon and is now called "Warband" instead of "Account-wide".
  • More details on a documented change, many icons on the world map can now be "supertracked" which basically adds a Map Pin to it. Previously, this only applied to quest icons (including world quests).
  • Some world map icons were updated with new art:
    • Transportation icons were updated from Iconsmall-obj217.png Iconsmall-obj218.png Iconsmall-obj219.png to Iconsmall-obj3061.png Iconsmall-obj3063.png Iconsmall-obj3065.png.
    • Dungeon and raid icons were updated from Iconsmall-obj119.png Iconsmall-obj118.png to Iconsmall-obj3055.png Iconsmall-obj3056.png.
  • Toy tooltips are now classified as "Warband Toy" instead of "Toy".
  • The daily quest icon was changed to a unique and identifiable icon from regular quests. It now includes arrows surrounding the exclamation point in a circle.
  • World quest icons have been streamlined.
    • Exclamation points have been changed to a completely new icon to help distinguish between a regular quest and a world quest. (from Worldquest-icon-regular-legion.png to Worldquest-icon.png)
    • Rare and epic color backgrounds were removed, thus the following icons are no longer present Worldquest-icon-regularrare.png Worldquest-icon-elite-rare.png Worldquest-icon-elite-epic.png.
    • World bosses have received their own icon, from Worldquest-icon-elite-epic.png to Worldquest-icon-elite-worldboss.png.
    • Bonus objectives have received their own icon, from Worldquest-icon-regular-legion.png to Worldquest-icon-bonusobjective.png. They are also visible from anywhere (previously only visible when near the area).
    • New Special Assignment world quests have been added which are shown with a banner Worldquest-icon-specialassignment-locked.png and Worldquest-icon-specialassignment.png.
  • Tracking interface has received a drastic UI overhaul along with the text and icons now appearing larger. The "None" option was changed to "Uncheck All" and now properly unchecks all options, a new "Warband Completed Quests" option, and the "Trivial Quests" option was renamed to "Low-Level Quests" (its original name prior to patch 7.0.3).
  • In the quest text interface when speaking with an NPC, the extra text under the portrait can be scrolled if applicable. This portrait is usually found with quests that involve killing a named mob (e.g. N [15-30] The Doomstone).

Bug fixes

The Instance difficulty banner
  • The instance difficulty banner (near the minimap) now uses the correct skull icon for the corresponding instance difficulty (i.e., Normal difficulty now uses the correct Uiguildbanner2x-normal.png normal skull icon instead of the Uiguildbanner2x-mythic.png red-eye skull which is for Mythic difficulty). This bug existed since patch 10.2.5.

Known issues

  • Some players may find action bars 2 through 8 disabled upon login. Those affected will have to manually re-enable them in the Options for all their characters. Any pre-existing spells and keybindings should be unaffected.[4]
  • New level 10 and below characters may have the spells on their action bars fail to save on logout. This same problem may cause some existing characters to have all spells wiped from their action bar on logout if they do not create a new load-out. A fix for this is being worked on.[4]
  • If Steady Flight is the current chosen flight style, the mount type priority is mixed up with the [Summon Random Favorite Mount] ability. It will first look for any favorited Steady Flight-only mount (such as the  [Otterworldly Ottuk Carrier]), if it can't find one, it'll then try for any favorited ground mount else finally summon any kind of favorited flying mount.
  • The proto-drake skeleton have had their camera angle reverted back to their Wrath of the Lich King angles when flying. This applies to the proto-drake mounts and the flyable fire hawk mounts.
  • Evoker characters created prior to the War Within pre-patch (but not leveled) have had their level reset to 10. This is not intended and a fix is being looked into.[5]
  •  [Archivist's Elegant Bag] has had its model changed from a closed satchel to an open bag with tools. This is confirmed a bug.[6]
  • The Artifact interface for the  [Underlight Angler] is not properly displaying the available traits. However, unlocked traits still work as intended.
Void Storage purchased but remains inaccessible.

Resolved

  • The Warband Bank is temporarily disabled due to a critical issue.[7] The issue has been fixed and the Warband Bank was enabled as of 30 July 2024.
  • The Cinematics interface does not load the art correctly when viewed from the character selection screen. This was resolved on 1 August 2024.
  • The Great Vault world map icon cannot be clicked to open the Great Vault interface, it instead adds a Map Pin to it. This was resolved with patch 11.0.2.
  • The new mage teleportation screen visual effect displays a neon green border. This was resolved with patch 11.0.2.
  •  [Ashes of Al'ar] is missing its trail particles/effect when skyriding. This was resolved with patch 11.0.2.[8]
  • The new text for quests that was completed by another character, "Your Warband previously completed this quest." appears in a dark red color, making it not legible on some quest backgrounds (such as the dark one). This was resolved with patch 11.0.2.
