Kriegval was one of the first of the earthen to abandon their edicts and become Unbound.[1] He is also the first earthen to choose to shut down permanently. Mourning Rise and Kriegval's Rest were named to honor and commemorate him.[2][3] Before he became one of the Unbound he was a Stonebound overseer. Kriegval's Rest was built by him and his workers and was originally supposed to be a transport depot that would serve as the connective distribution channel to Wenbrandt's refinery terminal (which later became Cinderbrew Meadery).[4]
