Gazelles are small, hooved gazelles native to the Barrens as well as Desolace and Mulgore. They often travel in herds.
Some Sickly Gazelles have become poisoned by the corrupted waters of Dreadmist Peak and require the aid of a healing salve to restore them to normal.
To All The Squirrels I've Loved Before
Those seeking to complete 
[To All The Squirrels I've Loved Before] may have more luck finding a herd in the Southern Barrens (in the broad vicinity of Camp Taurajo) or to the north and west of Forgotten Pools in the Northern Barrens - however gazelles can be found running anywhere in the zone. Herds of gazelles move fairly quickly.
Note that Sickly Gazelles do not count towards the To All The Squirrels I've Loved Before achievement.
Patch changes
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Level reduced to 1 (was 3). 
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Gazelles are now classified as beasts instead of critters and can be tamed as stags. 
Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Gazelles are no longer skinnable.
