Forum:MW 1.29 upgrade
We're upgrading to MediaWiki 1.29 on Monday. With that comes a new design to Special:RecentChanges. It's not clear if this is the same as the beta filters on Wikipedia's RC. The AJAX RC may be broken until I can review the changes. --Pcj (T •C ) 21:39, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks for the info. Xporc (talk) 22:04, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
- Delayed until tomorrow. --Pcj (T •C ) 23:32, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
Defaultlink issue
On a lot of pages (for instance, Ly'leth Lunastre), I see "DEFAULTLINK tags are not allowed in this namespace". I'm also seeing things like Quest links not being auto-formatted properly, which may be related to this. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:32, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
- I reported the DEFAULTLINK. Quest links are related, yes. --Pcj (T •C ) 21:33, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
- DEFAULTLINK should be fixed now. --Pcj (T •C ) 22:37, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Other issues reported
Also reported the use of black fonts on ads and the left bar navigation styling not being applied until the last second. --Pcj (T •C ) 21:51, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Gamepedia bar
Not related to the update, and probably not even to wowpedia, but gonna try. Top right corner of the bar there's my nick and a menu of related pages under it. The nick and "My User Page" link to user's profile. Could one of these be changed to the User page instead of profile? Mordecay (talk) 12:08, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
- You can actually change that in the Special:Preferences, under Public Profile -> Page Type -> change to
Use a standard user wiki page
. Thus making all links for your name to your wiki page instead of the Gamepedia's enhanced user page. Though the profile may still be accessed from the tabs to the top right. — Surafbrov T / C 04:00, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
