Flame's Radiance is the sixth Major Faction of The War Within. They are associated with the Nightfall scenario at [28, 56] at Morgaen's Tears in southwestern Hallowfall.

History

“When Hallowfall comes under threat and the army stretched thin, a call to arms is issued to those with the strength to wield a weapon and Flame's Radiance is formed. All allies are welcome to join in Hallowfall's defense.”

Reputation tab description

According to Mylton Wyldbraun, the Flame's Radiance stems from an old legend back at the Arathi Empire. They say when the glorious empress marched her armies off to war, she left the people of the empire unguarded. Enemies within the borders began to rise because of it.

But it wasn't the military or the empire that saved the Arathi in the end. It was the war veterans. The retired soldiers. Those who took up their extinguished torches, donned their battered armor, and rallied the villagers, farmers, and craftsmen. It was the people who held back the darkness until the light of the Empire returned.

Upon her return, they say the Empress knighted those responsible for rallying the citizens of the empire. She decreed the "Flame's Radiance" a sacred oath that all Arathi should adhere to.

Should the light of the Empire fade, burn out, or vanish, it's the people's duty to rally each other. By the radiance of the Sacred Flame, they'll extinguish the darkness.

After Queen Ansurek's death, her Sureki loyalists continued to invade Hallowfall to avenge their queen. With the army's numbers stretched thin, a Flame's Radiance was called, and many Arathi took up arms to repel their assaults. Flame's Radiance outposts were established near Morgaen's Tears, Lothar's Landing, Beledar's Bounty, Faerin's Advance, Mereldar, and the Untamed Valley.

Notable members

Thaed Pyremaker, leader of the Flame's Radiance.

Base camp at Morgaen's Tears

Reputation primarily comes from the Nightfall scenario that runs hourly at the top of the hour (at xx:00). The scenario can be run as often as desired — there's no daily lockout. Each run of the scenario is worth 500 points of reputation if players get to 100% on their individual progress bar. The boss itself is worth 33% progress!

Each day, Mylton will offer three Radiant or Sureki quests, with each quest awarding 200 reputation and a  [Confiscated Cultist's Bag], which contains Nightfall tint (purple) items, cosmetics, and a chance at the  [Shadowbound Leash] mount!

Once a week, Mylton tasks players with clearing the scenario in N [70-80W] The Flame Burns Eternal. This awards 400 reputation and a  [Radiant Service Satchel].

Anub'Ranax, a Sureki champion

At breakpoints in the Nightfall scenario, participating players filling their individual Service Award bar receive a loot container and 150 or 200 reputation with the Flame's Radiance:

Any container can also contain a cosmetic weapon appearance or warbound Veteran-track equipment.

A Sureki Champion spawns at the end of the scenario, one of Ahn'tak, Anub'Ranax, or Azj-Tak the Behemoth. It drops:

Once per week, Mylton Wyldbraun at base camp offers N [70-80W] The Flame Burns Eternal, which rewards a  [Radiant Service Satchel] (containing a  [Radiant Emblem of Service]), 25 [Valorstones] and 15x [Carved Undermine Crest].
