Summon Felguard is a Demonology warlock ability. The felguard, as it is unique to demonology, is heavily influenced by their talent tree; and is usually seen as the 'main' demon for the specialization as a result. It largely is made to be a sort of 'jack-of-all-trades' demon, as it has the ability to deal heavy damage, tank, and possesses a crowd control utility in the form of [Axe Toss].
[Grimoire: Felguard] summons an uncontrollable guardian pet version of this pet which is visually larger, and can be active at the same time as the Summon Felguard version.

Notes
As of patch 10.1.5, the Felguard's appearance can be customized in the barbershop. As part of this new system, the Wrathguard minion, which previously existed as an upgraded minion in the form of [Summon Wrathguard], became a cosmetic variant rather than a separate summon with its own abilities. It can be learned from [Grimoire of the Wrathguard].
Initially, the Felguard and Wrathguard shared the same name and quotes when summoned; this was fixed in patch 10.2.7. The wrathguard additionally no longer dual wields, but can now be affected by [Glyph of Felguard].
Trivia
- The voiceovers for the Felguard were originally recorded by Blizzard for the Doomguard which originally was summoned as hostile to the warlock until enslaved, and again once the enslave broke. The voiceovers make more sense when this is taken into account, especially the spell cast voiceovers, where the Felguard appears to be threatening the warlock with death repeatedly. This would also explain the quote "What happened to your friend?", as summoning a Doomguard used to kill a random party member. The Doomguard has since reclaimed its voice upon summoning, or rather now shares it with the Felguard.
- Unlike most warlock minions who are in great displeasure to have been bound to the warlock's will, the Wrathguard seems to enjoy being a minion.
