Elwynn Forest is the first zone available in Warcraft Rumble. Serving mostly as a tutorial zone with easy to defeat enemies, Elwynn introduces the players to the majority of the mechanics to be expected from Rumble.

Bosses

Goldtooth

“Goldtooth's dynamite does massive area damage. Attack from both sides! Capture the Tower to gain a forward deploy zone!”

Goldtooth is the first boss located in the Elwynn Forest zone. He requires 0 Onyxia Sigils to unlock. Goldtooth, as the first boss of the game, is a pretty straight forward encounter. His dynamite deals heavy damage to all units he attacks in an AoE, encouraging the player to capture both lanes instead of one to defeat him.

Heroic Goldtooth retains the same abilities as his normal variant, however now his Kobold miners will gain 10 levels every time they mine a vein. While this may seem harmless, if the miners are left alone, they will rapidly gain levels high enough to one shot other minis.

Mother Fang

“Meeting Stones are capturable deploy zones, but are easy to lose. Secure the high ground!”

Mother Fang is the second boss located in the Elwynn Forest zone. She requires 1 Onyxia Sigil to unlock. Mother Fang, as the second boss of the game, is a pretty straight forward encounter. Her encounter mostly serves to teach the player about the usage of Meeting Stones, as well as the way high ground works in the game. She attacks with a ranged, poisonous, AoE attack.

Heroic Mother Fang retains the same abilities as her normal variant, however now the various gold veins on the map are 'infested'. Mining a gold vein will spawn Spiderlings for whoever mines them, making it imperative that they are mined by the player before they are overwhelmed by spiderlings.

The Dockmaster

“Use Switches to control which direction your Troops will travel. Collect Gold and avoid the Barrels!”

The Dockmaster is the third boss located in the Elwynn Forest zone. He requires 2 Onyxia Sigil to unlock. As with Goldtooth and Mother Fang, the Dockmaster teaches the player about Switches; encouraging the player to shift their path. He has a special unit, an ogre called Dockey Kaang, who will toss barrels down one of the lanes dealing heavy damage.

Heroic Dockmaster retains the same abilities as his normal variant, however Dockey Kaang's brother, Fonkey Kaang has joined him. As a result, both lanes will always have barrels going down them, requiring the player to make use of strategic units to either get around the ogre brothers, or survive through their constant onslaught.

Morgan the Collector

(f)

“Morgan's Stealth will break when he attacks or takes damage. Keep an eye on the enemy encampment near your base!”

Morgan the Collector is the fourth boss located in the Elwynn Forest zone. He requires 3 Onyxia Sigil to unlock. Continuing the trend of teaching the player, Morgan's entire encounter revolves around his stealth mechanic. His special unit, the Defias Henchman will guard one of the lanes. It is extremely tanky and does not die easily, and once provoked, will begin down a lane. The game encourages the players to use the switch to avoid this henchman entirely while controlling both lanes. Morgan's henchman is stealthed, meaning players will have to attack it to even fight it. He has a bouncing AoE attack against flying units and a melee AoE attack against ground.

Heroic Morgan retains the same abilities as his normal variant, however he now has a second henchman sitting in his room with him. This henchman can be provoked out of his room, allowing the player to kill them separate from Morgan for a better engage. Attacking them at the same time is ill advised, as the Henchman is even stronger on Heroic.

The Henchman can be possessed by a banshee in both modes, giving the player control of this unique unit.

Hogger

(f)

“Ambush Hogger's patrol! Gnolls haven't figured out how to look up yet, free reign to crash the party!”

Hogger is the fifth and final boss located in the Elwynn Forest zone. He requires 4 Onyxia Sigil to unlock. Hogger's fight tests the player on what they've learned so far. His right lane has two Murloc Tidehunters that do not move off of a barrel, providing stationary, but destroyable, defense. His left lane contains one of the Guard Towers. Every 45 seconds, Hogger will send out a patrol of Gnoll Brutes to attack the player, threatening to overwhelm them if they do not control the battlefield. As the description of the mission implies, he has little to no air defense -- making them a good counter for his minions.

Heroic Hogger has swapped out most of his units for stronger ones. His aerial weakness is largely gone, as he now has Pyromancers in his army. In additon, he's swapped out the Gnoll Brutes for a patrol of 2 Warsong Raiders and 1 Huntress. This patrol will wait until all three units have spawned in, then rush down the right lane, with the map starting with one patrol already prepared.
