Class trainer
- For lists of class trainers, see below.
Class trainers are NPC's who allow level 50+ characters to enter the Proving Grounds and, for certain classes, offer cosmetic or minor functional changes for the character's abilities. Some class trainers also offer class-specific quests, which usually offer a piece of equipment appropriate for the character's class.
In Classic, class trainers serve a much greater role: they allow a character to learn the vast majority of their class abilities, for a price. New abilities and ranks become available with your class trainer every other level (at even-numbered levels). There are also many more class quests offered by trainers in Classic, with more varied rewards such as abilities, powerful equipment, and (for paladins and warlocks) even mounts.

I want to talk about the Arcane Momentum technique.
- Arcane Momentum is a technique that allows a mage to use their physical momentum to dictate the direction of their Blink spell rather than the basic technique of Blinking in the direction you are facing.
- I would like to learn the Arcane Momentum technique and be able to Blink in the direction I am moving.
- A confirmation window pops up:
- Are you sure you would like to learn this new technique?
- [Accept] / [Cancel]
- I would like to unlearn Arcane Momentum and Blink the direction I am facing.
- A confirmation window pops up:
- Are you sure you would like me to remove the knowledge of Arcane Momentum from your memory?
- [Accept] / [Cancel]
Please teach me.
- Opens a window with all of the abilities the trainer can teach you.
How do I train my pet?
- Just like hunters, pets also have specializations. Ferocious pets, like cats, can dish out damage but can't take it as well. Tenacious pets, like turtles, are more defensive and can occupy an enemy's attention while you stay at range. Cunning pets, like spiders, have a mix of offensive and defensive abilities and are particularly useful in Battlegrounds and Arenas.
- Each pet comes with a default specialization.

I wish to unlearn my talents.
- If you desire, in addition to training, I have it within my power to erase the knowledge of your talents from your mind. Be warned that every time you undergo this procedure the more difficult it is to perform, and therefore the more expensive it becomes.
- Yes. I do.

I wish to untrain my pet.
- You can't teach an old dog new tricks. At least that's what someone once told me. Lucky for you, I've discovered it to be untrue.
- However, pets do tend to get resistant to the technique, and I need more food each time to keep them happy. What that means is that you'll owe me more money the more times I untrain the same pet.
- Now then, would you like me to start untraining?

Learn about Dual Talent Specialization.
- The Dual Talent Specialization allows you to keep two active talent sets. You will be able to easily switch between these two specializations. When you switch between two sets, you will also gain access to a second glyph pane and a second set of action bars. Switching cannot be performed while in combat, and will consume your available resources.

Patch changes
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Class trainers no longer offer options for Dual Talent Specialization or for untraining specializations and talents; instead, all specializations are now available to every character, and specializations and talents can be freely changed in any rest area.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): New spells are now learned automatically. Class trainers are only needed to change talents, glyphs, class specialization, or to utilize the dual specialization feature.
