Superseding items stand in for junk items that replaced a previously useful item in the game, usually due to changes to gameplay systems or seasonal changes. These items do not fit the "removed" status as they weren't necessarily removed but also cannot be obtained unless the original item was in possession previously. For an example, the  [Small Throwing Knife] was converted to the  [Broken Small Throwing Knife] since thrown weapons were getting durability added. The  [Small Throwing Knife] is considered removed while the  [Broken Small Throwing Knife] would be a superseded item, an item that replaces another.
